Manpower is now seeking service technicians for an exciting consulting assignment at Xylem in Sundbyberg. Here you will work with service, installation, and renovation of pump stations and water and wastewater systems for municipalities, industries, and companies. This staffing is a collaboration between us at Manpower and our client. You will be employed by Manpower but work on-site at Xylem in Sundbyberg.
Location: Sundbyberg, Stockholm
Start: Immediately
Assignment length: Temporary assignment for 6 months with good chances for extension
Scope: Full-time
Working hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-14:00
About the job as a service technician
As a service technician at Xylem, you will have a varied and technically challenging role where you are responsible for service, troubleshooting, installation, and renovation of pump stations and water and wastewater systems. The role combines independent fieldwork with close dialogue with customers and project-based assignments.
You plan and carry out your assignments independently while collaborating with colleagues and following Xylem's routines for quality, safety, and documentation.
Examples of tasks:
- Service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pumps, pump stations, and water and wastewater equipment
- New installation of pump stations and associated systems
- Renovation, reconstruction, and upgrading of existing pump stations
- Installation and connection of pumps, valves, and control and monitoring systems
- Commissioning, testing, and functional control of facilities
- Independent planning and execution of assignments
- Technical dialogue and problem-solving with customers
- Documentation according to Xylem's routines, quality requirements, and safety regulations
The candidate we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a technical background who enjoys an independent role with great responsibility. You are solution-oriented, structured, and have an easy time building trust in customer dialogues. You appreciate fieldwork and are used to taking responsibility for entire assignments - from planning to completion.
Requirements for the position
- Technical education or equivalent practical experience in electrical, mechanical, water, automation, or similar
- Good technical understanding and documented practical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for entire assignments
- Good communication skills and experience with customer contact
- Driver's license B
Meritorious
- Experience working with pump stations, pumps, and water and wastewater systems
- Experience with new installations and/or renovation projects within water
- Knowledge of control systems, frequency converters, or automation
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting in complex facilities
- Previous fieldwork experience with service and installation
